The Nike Air Force Ones were first released 25 years ago in 1982! Amazing that most sneaker collectors who salivate for these shoes weren’t even born yet let alone wearing them. The Nike Air Force Ones were the first Nike shoes to have a full length air sole.
The Nike Air Force Ones shoes have been a major hit in the hip-hop community. Since their first release early 80s while the popularity of hip-hop grew, so did the Air Force One. Since hip-hop culture was so closely connected to the streets of
The Nike Air Force Ones have been released so many times that no collector has one of every pair of the Nike Air Force Ones. With so many limited colorways, celebrity exclusives, and even special holiday shoes, not one person has a good estimate of how many Nike Air Force Ones have been produced.
Nike and the Air Force Ones was a huge hit with many groups when they released Chinese New Year,
The Air Force Ones got a major dose of attention from hip hop when Nelly released the song “Air Force Ones” in 2002. In the video, you will see Nelly and the St. Lunatics wearing, buying, and points to Air Force Ones.
The Nike Air Jordans 1 was released in 1985 kicking off not only the greatest legacy in sneakers, but also the greatest legacy in basketball history. The first round, third overall pick, Michael Jordan, was selected by the Chicago Bulls in the 1984 NBA Draft. Before landing in the NBA, Michael Jordan had a resume that no other player could touch. Michael Jordan excelled in college basketball at
Banned Sneakers?
Though many people associate Tinker Hatfield with the Nike Air Jordans shoe line, Peter Moore was the designer of the Nike Air Jordans 1’s. The shoes stood out from the crowd of all other basketball shoes. Not only did the Nike Air
23 flavors
Nike released many colors of the Air Jordans 1 - something that revolutionized the sneaker industry. The Air Jordan 1 was released in 23 different colorways if you include all samples. Many were extremely limited and exclusive to certain areas, but no matter what corner of the globe you were in, there was a huge demand for the Air Jordan 1.
Retro life
The White/Black-Red and Black/Red Air Jordan 1’s were released as “retros” in 1994 right after Jordan announced his retirement and sold VERY poorly. So badly that many pairs hit clearance centers for $19.99 or less (today a brand new pair of these is worth $500+).
In 2001, Nike tried a second round with retroing and the Nike Air Jordans 1 was much more successful. The Air Jordan 1 was retroed in 14 total colorways from 2001-2003.
The Nike Air Jordans 1 is a legendary shoe and is the holy grail of most sneaker collectors because of its history and since it was the first

This is not the first time that Nike has made a special shoe for
Nike “salutes the troops” with the second release of the “Armed Forces” Air Max 90s. Last month, Nike released a quickstrike Warhawk Air Max 90 and next week, Nike will be releasing another one honoring our men and women in uniform.
Overall, I am quite impressed with how Nike used the colors of the flag without making it too “Wal Mart x Nascar” esque. White leather with a silver midsole and navy and red accents are on point. Can’t wait to see the actual product.
Huf and Nike are still busy hustling crack. Late last year, we saw the release of the “Hufquake” Air Force Ones and Dunks that was done to mark the 100th anniversary of the earthquake that crippled
This time around, Nike and Huf add some of the crackle print to a pair of Air Maxes. Hopefully this time around, these “crack” Air Maxes wont crack like the last HUF Air Max 90s did. For those who don’t remember, check out this article:
We have seen two names for this package - one in English, the other in Japanese, and thanks to wikipedia, we now know that both mean the same thing. Kakigori is a Japanese dessert that is made from shaved ice and flavored syrup.
This sweet treat lent inspiration to Nike for the upcoming quickstrike package. The shoes have fading colors and three of the shoes have “icy” clear soles. This package consists of and Air Max 1, Air Max 90, and two Court Forces however we have only seen the lows on US sales sheets.
This package will drop July 14th. The two Air Maxes are $110, the Court Force Lows are $90 and the highs are $100.
Just when you thought that Nigo and his Busy Work Shops were sitting around doing nothing, he drops another bomb on us all. This year we have seen virtually every possible all over print (love it or loathe it) on the Bape Stas, but these DC Comics joints are definitely one for the win column.
A little while back we had some preview shots of some DC Comics hoodies and we had and aching feeling (and hope) that we would see kicks as well. The four characters represented by this collection include Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and of course Superman.
Along with the kicks, Bape didn’t pass on the opportunity to release some limited edition toys for the “kid in all of us.”
Nigo was successful in the sneaker realm with sticking to a common plan - make crazy looking sneakers in limited numbers and with limited distribution. These new Bape Sta sneakers definitely follow that doctrine.
For a while we have seen Bape Stas released with all over camo prints, but lately Bape has been producing the classic shoe in new all-over patterns. In the past year we have seen the “junk food” Bape Stas, “Alohas”, and now these kicks that have an all over print of different Bape logos. From
Clothing isn’t normally our gig, but only when it relates to sneakers. At this point, we do not know if there are any DC Comics sneakers coming, but we can only hope. What we can tell you is that Bape released several Marvel Comics edition Bape Stas a couple of years ago and they have a series of DC Comics sweaters that they have let the info out about.
Bape Sta celebrates the summer the way many Japanese residents do - a trip to
There are a total of 4 colors of very colorful kicks in this collection. At the BWS (Busy Work Shop) there are plenty of accessories to hook up with the shoes as well.
While we were in
For the past year, A Bathing Ape and its signature sneaker, the Bape Sta, has been on a slow decline of popularity. This has been bad for Nigo, but great for those who love the brand since getting Bape Stas is a whole lot easier since the Hype Beasts have moved onto something else.
Ditching the Bape Camo print, these Bape Stas feature pinstriped patent leather which is a first for Bape. No word yet if these are available at the NY BWS (Busy Work Shop), but several online retailers
Last August, we gave you a look at the national flag edition Bape x Kaws Chompers. The two sides collaborated to make a package of four Chompers to
Though these shoes do not have any patent leather, Bape would never pass the opportunity to use bright colors. These are going to be a sure hit with Bape fans from the countries represented.
For the past sevearl years there have been alot of celebrities wearing the Bape Stas. Kanye West has had all kinds of hot sneakers on his feet including Bape Stas. Bape is showing some love and is making a Kanye West edition Bape Stas.
First things first, the Nike Air Force Ones were NOT the first Halloween edition sneakers. Bape Stas had released Halloween Bape Stas before the Nike made the first Halloween Air Force Ones last year.
Rather than just releasing one pair of Halloween colored Bape Stas, this year Bape did things differently making a sneaker for three of the most famous Halloween characters/costumes - “Mummys”, “Draculas”, and “Frankenstein”.
If you didn’t already know, EVERY sneaker company is going to be releasing a Halloween edition sneaker or a line of them. Bape was the originator which everyone followed. This year, they are releasing 3 unique Bape Stas.
Nike is not the only company doing Polka Dots on sneakers. Bape Sta has a line of sneakers that have Polka Dots all over the shoes
Clothing isn’t our thing, but these T-shirts were a little too funny to pass up. Whether you like A Bathing Ape or not, you can’t deny that the company is making huge money. On these T-shirts made by Aesthetics, the Ape is holding wads of cash he probably got from selling a little hype beast
Whether you like Bape Sta or think that they are just fake Air Force Ones like Game (a person who rocks fake
There are two things that Bape Sta has done to make their sneakers some of the most sought after in the world; crazy colorways and patent leather. These kicks combine those two elements and also ads another element - sneakers with a theme.
Personally, I love these Bape Stas alot. Fanta Grape was my favorite drink when I lived in
Another great lineup of sneakers thanks to the colaborative efforts of Bape and Kaws. The two have been doing colabs since 2004, but this is one of the first “packages” of shoes they have colaborated on together.
This summer, Nike had huge success with the release of a lineup of 6 World Cup Air Force Ones. Though these are not all World Cup nations these are still inspired by nations around the world
These are some pretty nice Bape sneakers which are more like what I think of Bape - crazy colors and crazy materials. Too bad these kicks are so exclusive they don’t even release in the
This year we all got screwed with no West Indies Air Force Ones, but Nike still put the tri-color combination of red, yellow, and green to work on three pairs of Dunk Lows.
Interestingly the upper on each uses a combination of different types of leather, but no two pairs have the materials in the same place. Whether you like the shoes or not, the laces would be a nice addition to a pair of West Indies Air Force Ones.
This year we have seen a handful of Air Assault retros as well as Vandals but never have been too special. Come to think of it, we haven’t shed any light on any Vandal Lows this year except for the Glow in the Darks and a pair of women’s ones we spoke of last week.
The Air Assault is a juggernaut of a shoe. The shoe has a very bold high cut and has a very wide and sturdy sole. Most of the pairs that we have seen released have been predominantly white, but due to the size of the shoes, they have looked relatively plain.
Big Chuck was his biggest while playing for the Auburn Tigers. Weighing in at a whopping 300+ pounds, its no surprise why he earned the title “The Round Mound of Rebound.”

This fall, Nike is honoring Charles Barkley with not only the re-release of the “Godzilla” CB34s but also three months of Air Force Ones. This model is to honor his time at

Each pair is only $150 and limited to 50 pairs. When was the last time a pair of Air Force Ones limited to 50 pairs cost less than $500…yeah we thought so. There is also a lasered box that is the perfect resting space for the Sole Bar Air Force Ones when they aren’t breaking necks on your feet.

One piece Dunks and Vandal lows have never been high on the “must grab” list of many sneakerheads, but these two should be.
These one piece Dunk Lows are very unique. Not only are they an all patent leather upper, but for ventilation purposes, the shoes have a polka dot pattern of holes to allow your feet to breath. One of the nicest parts of these shoes is the shoe laces that are an eye catcher
The vandal lows also have a white patent leather upper with the same polka hold pattern. Simple color way, but the polka pattern provides more for this shoe than any color combination ever could.
Many sneakerheads were very happy to hear the news that the Nike will release canvas Air Force Ones this year. So far we do not have any solid information about if these will be releasing in the
Canvas Air Force Ones do not make their way to shelves often, and when they do, they are an instant grab for many. We will keep you posted on these Air Force Ones, especially if they release on US soil.
Thankfully, our wishes came true and Nike will be bringing back CB34 Godzillas in the Black/White-Purple colorway. Be on the lookout for these to drop this fall as Nike honors Sir Charles with the release of many of his legendary kicks including several special edition Air Force Ones.
With the incredible popularity of the Hufquake Dunks and Air Force Ones of last year, it is no surprise that Nike is going to make more “earthquake” Dunks.
This cracked midsole is the only one that you want - especially if you are into OGs. If you aren’t wild about the colors, no fear, Nike never makes just one colorway of something good.
When the Nike Vandals first stepped onto the scene in 1985, they were one of the first entirely nylon upper high top basketball sneakers. Using nylon instead of traditional leather made them not only more breathable, but also much lighter.
When the Vandals made a major comeback in 2003, initially there were several colors with nylon uppers, but those quickly faded away and the norm is to see leather on these shoes.
Nike pulled a page out of the recent Vintage Running set of sneakers and have applied the same principles to these. These feature original type nylon, stitching patterns, and have been a little dirtied up so that it looks like you have been sitting on these kicks for two decades. No release details, but where there is one special Nike shoe, there will be many. Expect some more details in a follow-up
Like the Heiniken Dunks, these are not officially endorsed or licensed by the maker of the nasty smelling aftershave, but that hasn’t slowed down the nickname from spreading across the web and to every SB shop across the nation.
The “Old Spice” Dunk Lows are very tame and classy as Dunk SBs go, but something about the shoe makes them not so boring like other neutral colored SBs we have seen in the past year.
The not so “in your face” color scheme makes them a great thing to wear when you take your girl out. Hook up the Old Spice kicks with a polo, not the aftershave.
Get ready for the best quickstrike package of the summer - Nike’s “Back to School” Pack. This package includes some of our favorite kicks with the common theme of getting ready for the “first day.”
While we were always a fan of the “Composition Notebook” Dunks and “Elmers Glue” Air Max 90s, we were a little on the fence on the Vandals until now. Supposedly, the Vandals come with a second set of laces that are multi-colored making the shoe look even more like a box of Crayolas.
This pacakge will be available to quickstrike accounts including south west
Finally the second and third Bobbito Air Force Ones will be releasing soon. The first color released in April and the next two were supposed to drop in May and June. Like an album, these kicks kept getting pushed back week after week, month after month
According to Nike, the Japan Air Force Ones aren’t supposed to release until the 21st, but all of our favorite spots had these up for sale on Saturday, so apparently they forgot to send us the memo. The Japan Air Force Ones are the second stop around the world by the 25th birthday boy. Though we passed on the entry level and supreme Air Force Ones, there was no way we could sleep on the premium joints. (They are pictured right and on the bottom.)
These Air Force Ones are rather simple, but the colors are on point and in the right places. If you haven’t been up on your streetwear game lately, aqua blue or teel with purple is a hit this summer. Premium leather and a unique carbon fiber looking material made these a rap for us. If you haven’t grabbed them yet, seriously, don’t sleep. At $125, you aren’t going to find many other Forces as good as these.
The summer will be winding before we want it to, but at least that mean that the heat won’t stop coming in the form of sneakers.
Nike Retro division has two runs of kicks that got our attention while looking through the catalogs. The first (top row) is part of the August Urbano line. Its been a minute since we have seen the Air Flight 89s and with patent leather, this one is a wrap. The Air Max 90s and Vandal Lows aren’t award winners, but still finish off the trio in a nice way.
The bottom row is known as the “purple pack” for obvious reasons. Now don’t be surprised if you run into someone from
This month has many great SBs coming out, but there are some other gems dropping this fall like these Snakeskin Dunk Low SBs. Thankfully, you don’t have to wait until October like all the other people
We knew it was only going to be a matter of time until we found more colors of the upcoming retro Nike Zoom Flight 96. Thankfully, Nike will be releasing at least one of the original colorways. Though the shoes are all black and white, the blue sole was plenty of color for many. This era of Nike Basketball saw several icy blue soles including the Columbia Jordan 11.
Before they presented things such as gold dipped McDonalds spoons and pills, this time they used the Nike Dunk Hi. In an edition of 5 they created Nike Dunk Hi’s entirely covered in 18k gold.
The shoes go great with their famous “Gucci” laces. On a side note, these laces would also be a hot set for the “Say It Loud” Air Force Ones IDs that released a few weeks ago.
How this slipped past us, we have no idea. The colorway is simple, but on point. The upper is all black, but with accents of black reflective croc.
The outsole has a nice combination of a black sidepanel along with a semi-clear silver outsole. This shoe is very much like the Black “
Prayers have been answered. The Nike Flightposite One will be making a comeback. The Flightposite made its initial debut for the 1999-2000 basketball season and was the flagship model for Nike Basketball.
The Flightposites feature a Posite upper which molds to the foot of the wearer. Combined with full length Zoom Air, these shoes were the necessary combat boots for the battle on the court. The Foamposite series ended after 3 models, but the Flightposite Ones are by far the most popular.
Though we are not 100% sure who invented the idea of sneaker packages, one thing is indisputable - Nike has put together some of the most memorable “sneaker packs.”
Last summer Nike got the attention of many with the release of the Fantastic 4 Package. Each shoe represented one of the characters of the super hero team. This summer, Nike will be preparing kids for the new year with the “Back to School” package.
This package, like the Fantastic 4 package, includes several shoes that each represent something individually in a theme. This package includes the “Notebook” Dunk High, “Elmers Glue” Air Max 90, and the “Crayon” Vandal High.
Our friends from Mi Gente Clothing gave us a call to give us the heads up that Clark told them about some really special NikeiD “Black History” Air Force Ones set to release this Saturday at the 255 Elizabeth Studio.
Not just a dope, innovative ID, these Air Force Ones actually represent something. This “Black History” pair of AF1s celebrates the achievements of African Americans, and were constructed by Octavia Overmuller, a representative for the non-profit organization Say It Loud!.
Using premium materials not usually available to regular Nike iD Studio dwellers, the shoe was constructed at a recent event fusing sports, education and entertainment together. NikeiD will release these this Saturday at the
Last month, we posted photos of the upcoming Nike Tweed Pack releasing this fall. In the past most Nike retro packages have included Air Force Ones, but this year, the AF1 is too cool to hang out with the other kids.
Definitely not a compromise, the CB34 Barkleys replace the Forces. The package includes the prior, Dunk highs, and the Air Max 90. Each feature tweed on the upper as well as other warm, earthy, fall tones.
At first we were not too big on seeing tweed on a classic basketball shoe, but if Barkley wears these on the set with a matching tweed jacket we’ll forgive the fabric.
Even general release Air Force Ones has some loose association or connection to some campaign.
Whether you care what the nickname of the shoes are or not, the upcoming “World Series” of Air Force Ones has many great pieces in the lineup. Each city stop has some very unique shoes in colors that no other brand has released in many instances. Be sure to take a look at a handful of the upcoming Air Force Ones from this package.
Due to its 25th Anniversary, Air Force Ones have been stealing the lime light this year. Toward the end of this year and early next year, Nike has quite a few Dunk Highs set to release.
Nike brings back another classic. In 1998, the Nike Air Bakin made national headlines when Arab-American groups thought that the way “Air” was written on the shoe looked too similar to “Allah” written in Arabic. Nike recalled thousands of shoes, covered the logos with patches and the shoes made their way to the outlets. Unfortunately for Nike, there were hundreds of thousands of shoes fresh out of the factories that had the same logo. All of which were destroyed/ In the end that logo cost Nike millions plus a playground built to ease tensions.
We thought things couldn’t get much better last week when we received pics of the first Nike Air Structure retro. It has been a long time coming for these sneakers. Arguably one of the most under rated kicks from the Nike Running legacy
There is no debate that Hiroshi is treated like royalty by Nike. He has done great work for them on many projects including a series of HTM Nikes. For those of you who don’t know, Hiroshi is the “H” in HTM. Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith, the crazy man behind the laser, represent the two other letters.
About a year ago we posted up some of the genuine crocodile skin Air Force Ones that Nike made for Hiroshi. The pair that was made for him as well as other VIPs ended up becoming the $2,000 Lux Air Force Ones released earlier this year.
Back to these shoes, as you can see, the upper is again made with genuine crocodile skin as well as very high end leather on the front. The most noticeable part of these shoes is the 100% visible air unit. A close friend of ours saw several other Air Force 1 samples with this sole and described that it looked like an “Air Force 1 360.”
During the 1 Night Only event celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Air Force Ones, Nike held somewhat of a contest for all attendees to take part in. Each guest was allowed to vote on the best Air Force Ones of all time.
Everyone who voted entered in their information because if you voted for the most popular Air Force Ones, you would receive an ultra limited edition version of the shoes. Unfortunately, I voted for a different pair, so I won’t be receiving these.
Earlier this year, Nike released a series of Air Force Ones honoring the “New Six.” This was a starting lineup, plus one, of Nike’s premier NBA athletes.
While some team members were no surprise such as Lebron James or Kobe Bryant, many basketball fans and sneakerheads were left scratching their heads when two time MVP Steve Nash was left off the list. Apparently, there was another international player who almost made it.
Not just men are getting some hot Air Force Ones this month as Nike rolls out the NYC City Series Air Forces. Supreme Air Force Ones have been made available for women in some attention grabbing colors and for a really great price.
It seriously doesn’t feel like Friday knowing that there aren’t any Air Jordans releasing tomorrow. For those who need some retail therapy and maybe a new pair of kicks, you’re in luck.
The Orange Blaze “Gauchos” Air Force Ones will release tomorrow along with another pair of NYC City Series Air Force Ones. The shoes have a nice looking reflective alligator 3M material on the front of the shoe, etched sidewall, and embossed Gauchos logo on the heel.
These will retail for $125 which is a bit of a price break from the Air Force Ones released last weekend.
There have been some memorable sneaker auctions on eBay. There were the famous “eBay” Dunks, the
This pair was designed and produced for Turtle from HBO’s Entourage. The shoes do not even have a size tag on the inside! On the box, it is labeled as a “Prop Shoe.”
There are just a little over 2 hours remaining on the auction that has received 72 bids and is currently at $15,000. Ironically, the seller accepts Paypal. If one were to pay $15k by Paypal, the fees would be $435 which is more than many of us have ever paid for a pair of sneakers.
Back in the day, if you wanted a pair of Air Force Ones that no one else had, all you needed was a can of spray paint, some masking tape, and some patience.
Just For Kicks Director Thibault De Longville is working on another project about the “Air Force Ones” so who better to talk to than Bobbito Garcia. Bobbito cooked these “Butterscotch” custom Air Force Ones during the interview.
Once again, another color that you just don’t see on a shoe, but so simple, so fresh, and so clean.
This has been a big year for elephant print. With the comeback of the
Sadly, the classic Black/Cement-Red colorway was not released of the Jordan 3, but Nike SB has helped to make up for that by releasing the P-Rod 2’s with inspiration from that shoe. We also have a preview of all the upcoming Nike SB Cement print gear coming this July. Pics thanks to.
Besides the Woodgrain Huaraches released last fall, there really haven’t been many Huaraches released in recent times despite the fact that the Huarache technology is the influence of many Nike sneakers released. The Huarache will be coming out this summer with the Bright Cactus pack. In case you didn’t get the memo, Bright Cactus is the new Altitude Green.
There is something about Hemp on a pair of shoes that really makes the pair a hit. Some of the most saught after Air Maxes are the “Crepes” which featured, among other things, Hemp on the upper.
Most of the time, you will find Hemp on Nike Dunks. Now, you can make your own pair of Hemp Dunks on NikeiD in the Members Only Store. There you can choose from several unique colors, Inca leather, and even a gum sole.
There aren’t that many Air Jordans dropping next month, but Nike SB has one of the best lineups yet. We will see a double dose of elephant print, a very unique pair of Blazers, Neon 95 inspired Zoom Tre, and a P-Rod 2 that really resembles the Militaries.
One of the nicest and unique cities in the Air Force 1 World Tour is
Here is another look at the Berlin Air Force Ones that are releasing in the midtop. The shoes have a unique material on the upper that has never been put on Air Force Ones ever. The outsole is another unique look as well. More photos after the jump.
We have reported on a handful of collaborations that Supreme is doing this summer, but here is yet another with Nike. This is the Nike Trainer TW II. The shoes are a beautiful red with white and black accents.
The black netting on the side reminds me alot of the red Jordan IV lasers that were an MJ only exclusive (that didn’t release). There is no information about these, just a photo, so you know we will be back with updates as we receive them.
When we saw the Air Stabs coming out a couple years ago, we knew that it would only a matter of time before the Nike Air Structure would finally re-release.
This shoe was Nike Running at its best. The shoes originally released in 1992 and were a great, lightweight, running shoe. Besides the breathable mesh on the upper, the shoes had forefoot Air cushioning as well as a Visible Air unit.
The design of the shoes is very unique as well. Arguably, these have one of the most thought out designs of any of the Nike Air running shoes. Stay tuned for more info.
In the last of a three shoe set or Hiroshi Fujiwara Air Force Ones series, Hiroshi does what he does best with a plain white and black colorway.
In early 2006, Nike celebrated the “History of Air” with the release of 6 Air Max favorites leading up to the release of the ground breaking Air Max 360. The Air Max 360 was a great seller to those looking for a high tech running shoe and to those who just wanted something comfortable that looked good.
The Air Max 360 II has had some hurdles to jump in making sales. Most went on sale and are already available at the outlets despite its similar appearance to the Nike Zoom Spiridon.
Here are pics of the upcoming Air Max 360 III. I am sure that like all the prior models, they are very comfortable, but the upper is not too impressive. A little too plain for me and I know that mesh will be a mess to clean. I never thought that I would ever say this, but I like the 360 hybrids more than the 360s.
It almost goes without saying that the
There have been a few colorways of the Air Max Lite that have made their way to shelves in the US, but not nearly as many as UK has received. These two colorways here are not going to be in any
The shoes have classic, yet simple colorways that resemble something one would have expected to see when the shoes originally dropped last decade. JD Sports won’t ship, so start making friends in
There is no denial that sneaker culture has some love for comic book heroes. There have been Marvel Comics Bape Stas, Fantastic 4 Package, as well as Spiderman and Hulk sneakers for kids.
Emmanelabor put together some custom Hulk Air Force Ones that have alot more than just the colors of the comic book beast. More pics after the jump.
Of all of the Air Max sneakers, the BW Classics have been getting so little love in the
Last week we reported about the upcoming series of Charles Barkley Air Force Ones and though they will release this fall, EL just couldn’t stand the wait.
Something truly unique about these shoes is the photo image of Charles Barkley on the inside of the tongue. If you have any ideas of some custom Air Force Ones or if you wish to see more of emmanuelabor’s work,
This has been a big year for Nike celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the Air Force Ones. Unlike most brands, Nike didn’t just throw a party and release a few special edition sneakers, they recreated the classic sneaker and updated it to the standards of 2007.
The Nike Air Force 1 was the first basketball shoe to have full length Air cushioning. In addition to the cushioning, the shoes also had a heavy duty outsole and strong upper made for serious use. Nike updated the shoes with an Air Max heel, Zoom Air forefoot, and also added a sole with unbelievable grip.
Sneakerheads have had somewhat of a love/hate relationship with the Air Force 25 so far. The first AF25’s were only released as a mid-top which is not a popular silhouette amongst sneakerheads. The low top versions are set to release just in time for summer and have already received much more love than the mids. More colors are on the way including some that will go great with your favorite NBA teams gear.
Nike will be bringing back the Zoom Flight 95 and the Zoom Flight 96. Both were worn by Jason Kidd in his early years in the NBA while with the Dallas Mavericks. Though we can expect many colorways (history repeats itself) these colorways are great for anyone who wants neutral dark colors for fall or Spurs fans
Just as the City Series Air Force Ones will come to a close next month, the Air Force 1 World Tour will begin. This set of releases will make 7 stops around the world. The cities represented in the campaign include
Though the Nike x Atmos Safari campaign has come to a close, it looks like Nike and Atmos are back at it again working on something else.
Details are very limited at this time as Atmos NYC just gave us all a sneaker peak of a “project” pair of Dunks due out in June. At this point details are not very clear whether these are a Nike x Atmos project, or if this is a collaboration with Art Force One who does similar work to what is shown.
We just posted a sneaker peak but I think Bobbito and his Air Force Ones are well deserving of two articles, don’t you think? We were lucky enough to again get a few words from the man himself considering his busy schedule. For those of you who don’t know much about Bobbito, he has enough jobs to make the unemployment rate of NYC go to zero if he handed out just a couple of his gigs. Matt - Nice Kicks: I noticed something different on the swoosh this time. Bobbito Garcia: Yes, that is patent [leather] on the swoosh. Matt: What was the inspiration for the colors? Bobbito: Inspiration came from a basketball uniform that I rocked one day. The Almighty Force leage shirt was army green and my Bounce Magazine shorts were the light blue. Matt: I also noticed a forth material on the upper too. Bobbito: Yeah, I added the suede to the shoe too. I’ve never seen a sneaker come up in these flavors. I wanted to do something unique that still made sense. Again, these are scheduled to be out in Mid June in the middle of all of the NYC City Series Air Force Ones. No better time for Bobbito’s kicks to drop than while Nike is paying respect to the City. |
By the end of June, there will have been 85 colorways of the Air Force Ones released. That’s right 85!!! Of all of the special packages and special edition Air Force Ones the 3 Bobbito Garcia Air Force Ones are at the top of the list of many sneakerheads. This has been said by many despite the fact that only 1 of the 3 have even released.
Bobbito hits us again with classic color distribution, simple colors that look wonderful together, and a little touch of patent leather which we have not seen on any of the prior Bobbito Air Force Ones. Maybe a little love the the new school? We’ll keep you updated with more pics and more info as we get it. These are scheduled for mid-June.
If you Air Max 90 “neons” from 2004 are getting worn out like mine, its time to think of trading them in for the new Air Max 90 “bright cactus”. The name of these, like the neons, comes from the box label color. Though the shde of yellow is very bright, it has the slightest hint of green.
There are several other sneakers releasing along with these. Nike also produced an Air Stab and Air Assault Low. All shoes in the package feature the “Bright Cactus” color as well as the Safari print.
Though white midsoles are not always the best look on the Air Max 90, these turned out great.
Here are some new photos of the upcoming package from Nike known as the “Highlighter Heroes” Package aka “Rad Pack”. Whatever you want to call it, you can’t deny that the sneakers are sure to catch one’s eye.
Also included in this package (however not pictured) is a Nike Air Max 97 x 360 hybrid that looks equally as great as the rest.
There are many great Air Force Ones releasing this summer and quite a handful of great Air Jordans releasing this fall. Stay up to date and start budgeting your funds so you can stay on top of your sneaker game.
The Nike camp has been releasing some genuinely unique Air Max sneakers recently. Not only do these shoes have a “sunrise” gradient midsole, but also has a reflective croc patent leather upper, canvas toe box, and a leather lined inside.
Unfortunately we do not have any release information yet, but we will keep you in the loop for these.
Charles Barkley Air Force Ones campaign and already photos have surfaced of one of the shoes. This pair is one of the “Phoenix Suns” edition Air Force Ones that release in December.
Arguably the hottest Dunkesto made for arguably the best ball handler in the world. These were made in celebration of a contract signing between Barcelona FC and Mr. Futbol himself.
Last month, Nike kicked off the City Series campaign and released Air Force Ones that commemorated
The inspiration of the NYC Air Force Ones comes from the history of basketball in the city. The shoes celebrate the AAU Gauchos, Rosie’s Dry Goods, and
While taking a look at the Air Force Ones release dates for the rest of the year, we noticed something interesting happening in the fall/winter.
October kicks off with
Yes, we had that same face that “The Round Mound of Rebound” has in the photo. Nike will be paying tribute to “Sir Charles” in a 4 month campaign of Air Force Ones.
At this point in time we do not have any photos of these Air Force Ones, but we received word from someone who has that they look amazing.
To celebrate the Air Force Ones 25th Anniversary, Nike put together a three city tour that honored 3 cities that had alot of initial influence to the Air Force Ones.
Now, Nike is taking this party global. Beginning in July, the Air Force Ones World Tour will begin in the host nation of the 2008 Olympic Games,
July 7th, 4 pairs of China Edition Air Force Ones will release. Currently we just have photos of the Premium lows and Supreme Mids. The two will retail for $125 and $220 respectively, but there will also be two other pairs that will be only $80.
One of the more unique hybrids that looks most like the original shoes are the Nike Air Zoom Dunkestos. These sneaker combine the very best of each shoe. The shoes have the look and shape of the Nike Dunk low, the breathable material of the Prestos on the toebox and side panel, a lightweight phylon midsole, and an added feature of Zoom Air.
When we first saw this shoe we thought that they were mat for women, but actually they are for men. Pink was somewhat popular several years ago for men to wear, but I suppose with the influx of streetwear fashion, pink may be making another comeback.
All of the Nike iD Air Force Ones cooked up recently are started to arrive to their proud creators. While in Vegas, Bun B got special access to Nike’s VIP suite to create his own Air Force Ones. Not many words are needed to tell you how great these are, but we caught up with Bun anyways:
“I was looking forward when I was making these and knew that summer was coming really quick. That being said I didn’t want any dark colors. There wasn’t a particular theme you might say, I just wanted something for warm days ahead.
I also wanted to make sure that I hit up several bases with these shoes. I can rock them with some yellow gear, orange gear, or the aqua. Of course I had to do some “candy paint” as well as contrast stitching to catch your eyes.”
Bun also wanted to make sure we passed along great thanks to DJ Clark Kent and Marlice from Nike for bringing him into the Nike VIP Suite.
Though the Nike Huarache is a Nike Retro classic, very few have been released in recent times. Thankfully this summer, the Huarache is returning in a fresh, bright colorway in time for the season.
In addition to the Huaraches, we received photos of a new Court Force High releasing this summer as well. These sneakers have an eclectic mix of materials; leather, 3M, tie-dyed canvas, nubuck, and of course hemp. One can’t see these shoes and not think of the Nike Dunk SB HUFs from a few years back.
The moment we saw these sneakers we thought “dope custom” but we were astonished when we found out that Nike cooked these Air Max 90s up and they will be releasing as a quickstrike later this month.
The shoes clearly take inspiration in colors and design from the P-40 Warhawk, hence the nickname for the shoes. The shoes have all of the details of the war plane inside and out.
Given the fact that Nike released a ton of olive/orange shoes last fall as well as the Army Olive Jordan 5s, if you have been staying up on your sneaker game then you probably have a handful of clothes to match these kicks.
Air Jordans were an instant hit thanks to a high flying rookie as well as one of the best marketing campaigns put together by Wieden and Kennedy. Air

Once again, designed by Tinker Hatfield, the shoe had something new. A neoprene sockliner was the first of its kind. The Air Jordan 7 was promoted in a marketing campaign in which Michael Jordan appeared with Bugs Bunny. The Air Jordan 7’s then inherited the nickname “the Buggs”.The Divide of
At the young age of 18, Lebron James inked a $90 million contract with Nike to be the exclusive outfitter of his footwear and clothing needs for 7 years. This was the largest shoe deal ever made and especially for an 18 year old. The first Lebron James shoes were released only months after the deal was made.
The Lebron James shoes deal was far larger than the one Nike made with Michael Jordan.
Nike has released 3 models of the Air Zoom Lebron series so far as well as many exclusive Lebron Air Force Ones and a few special edition Lebron James Dunks SB. Keep your eyes open and your wallet full, there are many more exclusive colorways coming out of each model including SVSM colorways of every model of Lebron James shoes.
The goal of the Bathing Ape shoes was never to be an athletic shoe, but rather a limited sneaker that no one else would have ever seen or dreamed of. The shiny patent leather and bright colors separated the Bathing Ape shoes from all other casual shoes. Not only did these features set the Bathing Ape shoes apart from the others, but really caught someone’s eye when look to buy a new pair of sneakers.
Starting at approximately $200 per pair, the Bathing Ape shoes are much more expensive than their Nike Air Force Ones counterpart, but the Bathing Ape shoes (most famous Bape Stas) are much more limited than the Air Force Ones. Many of the Bathing Ape shoes were made in runs of 200 and less! Compare that the the super limited Air Force One Lux was made in 3,000 pairs and sold for about the same price.Finding Bathing Ape shoes is pretty hard in the US. There are some sneaker boutiques who have a few pairs at any given moment, but the sure bet way to find an authentic pair of Bathing Ape shoes is to take a trip to
Nike was born in 1972, but the business of footwear with the founders had been going on for nearly 10 years before Nike made its first shoes. Blue Ribbon Sports was the original name for the company which later became Nike. BRS began by importing lower priced Japanese made running shoes and reselling them in
Nike, today, is the world leading athletic footwear and apparel seller. In fact #2 and #3 do not even total the revenue that Nike pulls in every year. The most respected part of Nike’s line is the athletic footwear made by Nike. Take a look at the Nike shoes above to learn about the great shoes Nike produces.
The Nike Air Max shoes are second to none for performance and style of all running shoes. The Nike Air Max shoes were first released nearly 20 years ago and have been a favorite of many. Though a little premature of the 20th anniversary, Nike launched its latest marvel, the Air Max 360, along with a History of Air Max package to celebrate the technology and accomplishments of the Nike Air Max shoes.
Nice Kicks is committed to having all of the latest information about the Nike Air Max shoes from special launches, to release dates, to the history of the Nike Air Max line. Listed under each category of the Nike Air Max shoes, you will find links to authentic Nike Air Max shoes sellers. This way one can be sure to get not only a great pair of Nike Air Max shoes, but also authentic ones.
The Nike Air Max 95 was the first running shoe in history to have forefoot and heel Air Max cushioning. The Nike Air Max 95 was a huge hit when it was released. It came out in many famous colors that have been retroed many times such as the Neons, Slates, and Emeralds. The Air Max 95 was so successful that it was first “retroed” only 2 years after its release in 1997/1998.
The Air Max 95 was also the first Nike shoe to have an Air Max heel which was compressed to different pressures. The air pressure ranges from a low 5PSI in the back of the heel to 25PSI directly underneith the heel to provide optimal cushioning. Not only did the Air Max units provide second to none cushioning, but it provided great heel support.
Since the Air Max 95 were running shoes, they had 3M reflective material on the back and front of the shoe. The reflective material makes the shoes very visable with even the lowest of indirect light hitting the Air Max 95 shoes.
At first, the Air Max 95 was designed for performance and function, but it lately has been bought more for fashion and casual wear. One can’t help but fall in love with the design and shape of the Nike Air Max 95 shoes. The Air Max 95 is a favorite among people from all walks of life from yuppies to people of the hip hop community - it is one of many shoes that unites sneakerheads.
Without stating the totally obvious, the Nike Air Max 95 was part of the History of Air Max package. Even though Nike released the Nike Air Max 95 Neons in 2002, 2003, and 2004, Nike sure enough released the same colorway again at the end of 2005. This made many Air Max 95 fans angered since many paid a premium price for the Neons. A sigh of relief was exhaled when collectors saw how poor the quality was of the History of Air Max Nike Air Max 95s.

Beginning in July, the Air Force Ones World Tour will begin in the host nation of the 2008 Olympic Games,
July 7th, 4 pairs of China Edition Air
